Costa Rica is home to some of the most pristine virgin tropical rain forests, cloud forests, dry tropical forests, and marine habitats in the world, as well as home to over 40 volcanoes. Peninsula de Osa is located on the tropical south western Pacific coastal zone of Costa Rica. Surrounded by untouched virgin rain forest flora and fauna, this paradise is a combination of tropical wilderness and beaches catalogued by the "National Geographic Society" as one of the most diverse biological places on earth!
Country Day School’s Reef to Rainforest Program combines reef studies with the rainforest experience through the use of experienced native guides typically used by the Organization of Tropical Studies (OTS), a consortium of 67 universities in the US. For our offshore studies, PADI dive instructors and naturalists lead our groups in marine ecology studies and snorkeling along the Pacific Coast.
