Notice concerning transportation to the Brasilito

Bridge

I would like to inform all parents/students affected by the bridge closing in Brasilito that we will continue to offer our bus service to and from our side of the bridge until it is repaired. I also understand that some of you will not be sending your children over the bridge until you are absolutely sure that the bridge is safe. Children missing school while waiting for the bridge repair will not be penalized and we will make every effort to assist them in keeping up with assignments via Ed-Line and/or emails from teachers. We understand your frustration with the situation and we absolutely do not want you to feel pressured to walk across that bridge at this time in order to get your children to school. We are only providing the opportunity for parents to bring their children to the bus if they wish. This service will be provided for any student coming from the Flamingo/Portrero side regardless of previous use of the bus services.

Note: Students wishing to continue in after school activities will NOT have bus service to the bridge due to the fact that the bus is in use by the boarding program after 3:00 p.m. This means that there will be only a one time bus service at 2:30 in the afternoon. If you wish to have the bus deliver your child to the bridge after school they will not be able to participate in after school activities during this time period. If they stay for after school activities you will need to make other arrangements for their transportation home.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding during this difficult time. In the mean time, be safe!
