Director's Corner
Welcome back to school everyone. Once again we are starting off the year with lots of new faces, mostly new families from the U.S. Today's newsletter is the first of many you will receive throughout the year. I will do my best to get one out to you each week or every other week at least. I will include pictures and articles about the latest and upcoming events at CDSG, the place that I call the busiest little school on Earth. You will be amazed at how many activities we have going on here every week. Already during the first week we had had two assemblies, a staff vs. students basketball game, teacher training in the greenhouse, and a visiting college soccer team from New York. This week we had a student team building assembly in the high school and boys' soccer game on Wednesday, and an Open House (and After School Activity sign-ups) on Thursday.
After School Activities will begin next week and a basketball game on Tuesday, August 31st. We have lots of new after school activities planned this semester with everything from cooking and surfing and skatebording to dance and photography and Zumba! I have also included a few photos of some of the things going on around here already. I hope you enjoy! A calendar of the activities was sent home again today with your child. Please circle the activities your child will attend and send it back to school on Monday.
A reminder....if you get some good photos of school events please send them to me or bring them in on a memory stick for me to download.
