The purpose of the VR Internship Program is to offer paid internships
to students who are pursuing a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation
Counseling. Students who are accepted into the program will work
in one of Georgia’s VR offices. There are 13 regional offices and more than 50 local offices throughout the state, so opportunities exist to work in rural, urban, or suburban settings.
To apply for a VR internship, you must submit the following:
- State of
Georgia Employment Application, and
- Letter of
Interest, noting any rehabilitation or rehabilitation-related
experience(s); specifying a career goal after graduation; and
indicating location preferences by region, city, or county.
The preferred method
for receiving the internship application paperwork is via email
to Brenson.Parks@dol.state.ga.us.
You may also fax it to Mr. Parks at (404) 486-0211, or mail it
to him at Georgia Department of Labor, Vocational Rehabilitation
Program, 1700 Century Circle, Suite 300, Atlanta, GA, 30345.
If you have questions or wish to receive further information,
please contact Brenson Parks at (404) 235-0159.
