By Air:
Costa Rica has two international airports – one in San Jose (airport code SJO) which is 5-6 hours away by car, and one in Liberia (airport code LIR) which is about one hour away by car. Both airports are serviced by a wide variety of international airlines. There is also a local airport for small passenger planes 20 minutes from the school in the beach town of Tamarindo. This airport is serviced by Sansa (221-9414) and Nature Air (220-3054), which provide service from San Jose and Liberia to Tamarindo.
By Car from San Jose:
Take the Pan American highway (Route 1) North to the turn off for the Tempisque (also known as the "FriendshipBridge) bridge. After the bridge, follow the road to Santa Cruz. Drive through Santa Cruz and follow the road to Belen. In Belen, you will make a right onto the road to Flamingo. Follow the signs to Flamingo. In Huacas, you will make a right onto the road to Flamingo (you will have just passed a turn-off to Tamarindo). The school is about 3 kilometers on the right.
By Car from Liberia:
Exit right from the airport, following the road to Belen. In Belen, make a right onto the road to Flamingo. In Huacas, you will make a right onto the road to Flamingo (you will have just passed a turn-off to Tamarindo). The school is about 3 kilometers on the right.
By Car from Tamarindo Airport:
From the airport exit, take a left. Follow this road until it comes to a T-intersection. Make a left and follow this road to Huacas, where you will come to another T intersection. Make a left, and about 500 feet later, make a right onto the road to Flamingo. The school is about 3 kilometers on the right.
